Adios amigos

Hello all. I recently left Children’s Scrapstore, Bristol – moving on to pastures new - and wanted to say goodbye! “Goodbye”! I’ve had an amazing time in the scrapstore world and met some very cool people in the last 13 years.

Too many to mention but I do want to say hello and goodbye to some particular folks I’ve known since very early on or who I’ve forged special working relationships with – Peter V (the main man), Gary K, Nick D, Beth H, and Rachael B and Joy D. Working with you on swaps and shared collections was a pleasure and a lesson in resource efficiency.

In addition to all my colleagues from CSS, also adios to Nikki D, Olivia M, Michal L, Andy at Raunds, Bette B, Kevs and John, Kate J, Joe M, John M, Irene B, Howie, Lin, Caroline N, ……the list goes on……many already gone in the last few years – Teresa, Brian and Ken etc. I can’t mention everyone so please don’t be offended etc. etc.

Its been great to get to know and share an extraordinarily progressive idea and ethos with so many likeminded socially-beneficial landfill-diverters.

Good luck to all your scrapstores for the future – the ‘waste’ may be (quite rightly) decreasing but the resource mountain available to scrapstores is still massive, so opportunities abound.

Our meet-ups were few and far between given the distance but it was always good to catch up with you in person or more frequently as we did by phone. Thanks for your thoughts and good look to you and Mini Scrapbox too.
