The GRC was set up in 1985 and has developed into a vibrant community resource for the county benefiting over 190,000 individuals. In addition to the Scrapstore there is an art supplies shop, hire of arts and play equipment, creative workshop programmes, school visits and INSET packages available. The GRC owns and operates from City Works a former Victorian textile factory that's been refurbished into a spectacular venue for conferencing and community arts events alongside offices for other community and social enterprises. City Works enables valuable income generation to support the GRC's Scrapstore and other core services.
