Planning Permission class

Hi I am just wondering (particularly for those who have recently set up or moved) what planning permission class you operate under? It would seem that retail premises are much more expensive and not necessarily so practical but industrial units don't seem to offer the right criteria to trade? Do you get around this through a membership only policy or are your scrapstores exempt from planning permission class because they are charities?

I am asking this because we are hunting for premises (having thought we had an ideal one it has fallen through for a number of reasons which have delayed us opening) and I don't want to fall foul of the local council before I even open the doors

BEST ASK THE DISTRICT COUNCIL WHERE THEY WOULD ALLOW YOU TO RUN THE SCRAPSTORE, AND GET ON THEIR GOOD SIDE AT THE START. YOU'LL NEED THEM ON BOARD, MAINLY FOR PUBLICISING THE BENEFITS OF PREPARATION OF RESOURCES FOR RE-USE WHICH IS WHAT WE ARE DOING FOR THEM.
