Safety concerns about till Rolls in Scrapstore

We've been contacted by one of our members who is aware of the dangers with thermal till rolls used for receipts etc. as they contain BPA..which are cancerous chemicals..people are warned not to handle this material, especially children.
So if they work by thermal (heat) to copy info e.g. if you rub the surface with a coin and it makes a mark this indicates they are not ordinary paper rolls. There is masses of information on this on the web, just type in something like `chemicals in till receipts` or BPA chemicals in everyday items / till receipts`.

BPA is widely used, although the info all seems to be from America, no doubt it is the same for UK products. We have removed these from our shelves and just wanted to maske you all aware of it so you can decide if you want to do anything in your store.
