I've posted this in the 'members only' section but also thought it would be good to share ideas with others too.....

Hurray! I have at last found a use for all those bleedin' Peter Gabriel records Charlie!!! I'm sure that I've been a bit slow with this one and no doubt this is old news but I've discovered that records make extremely good plant pots!
I set the oven at home on approx 150degrees, and stood a ceramic vase upside down in the centre (but you can also use jam jars etc). Then I placed the record over the top of the vase and left it in the oven for about 3 - 4 minutes/ The result was that the record melted and dropped in folds around the vase. It was still soft when I took it out (so suppose it could be manipulated into other shapes?) and left it to cool when it set again.
It is now a very fetching glossy black plant pot with a hole in the bottom for drainage! I am super impressed.....

Pickled Grannies!
I was inspired by the Pickled Granny chat before the last swap and I managed to pick up a couple of bags of the white tights and pop socks so our lovely volunteer Sally and I had a fab Saturday morning making these......
