Using KMS Auto on school laptops—worth it or risky?

I’ve got 5 older laptops I’m setting up for some kids at my community center. Installed Windows 10 and Office 2016 on all of them, but don’t have keys. I was thinking of using KMS Auto Activator since it’s supposed to work on multiple devices. Is that still the go-to in 2025? Any chance Windows Defender will nuke it right away?
