Topic-icon Need to verify IBAN numbers before making construction payments

We're starting construction on a large project soon and I need to transfer money to various suppliers for building materials. Plus there's an advance payment to the contractor for construction work. All transfers will be done via IBAN numbers. To avoid unpleasant situations where money goes to the wrong place, I need to verify all the numbers before sending the funds. Where do people usually do this kind of verification?

Best practice is to call each supplier and contractor directly to confirm their banking details over the phone before doing any transfers. Also get everything in writing via official company email, not just text messages. Cross-reference the IBAN with the company's official invoices and contracts. Some people also do a small test transfer first, like $10, to make sure it goes through to the right account before sending the full amount. For construction you're dealing with serious sums so extra caution is worth it.

Construction payments are tricky because you're juggling multiple vendors and large amounts simultaneously. One typo in an IBAN means your money disappears into someone else's account and recovery is a nightmare. The suppliers won't wait around while you sort it out either, materials get delayed and the whole project timeline falls apart. Do IBAN validation here nimlab.eu/iban-checker/ . It verifies the number is legitimate and correctly formatted so you know the transfer will reach the right destination. Saves you from expensive mistakes that derail your construction schedule.
