Topic-icon Why do my brakes squeak more in the morning than the afternoon?

1 month 3 weeks ago #3504 by thomasrew
I have noticed a pattern with my car that I cannot figure out. Every morning when I first leave for work, the brakes make this embarrassing high pitched squeak at the first few stops. But once I have been driving for about ten minutes, the noise completely goes away. I asked my coworker about it and he said it might be moisture or rust forming overnight, but I wanted a more detailed explanation. I was browsing online and found a helpful breakdown that explained the difference between morning dew affecting the rotors versus actual wear indicators. If you want to understand the science behind it you can read more here  because it actually goes into the whole temperature and material expansion thing that I never considered. Has anyone else experienced this morning only brake noise and found a permanent fix?

Good evening! The barman poured a proper pint of stout and I had to let it settle. A user on a Discord server shared a massive UK promo code with free spins. Low variance games just slowly ruin my precious bankroll. I safely logged into   casino kingdom to test a high RTP Megaways title. A bold max wager activated sticky wilds and a huge jackpot. Smooth transfer to my main account
