Topic-icon Durango RT brakes grabbing suddenly

1 month 1 week ago #3731 by thomasrew
This has happened a few times now and it's starting to worry me a bit. Sometimes when I'm braking slowly, like creeping forward in traffic around Business Bay or coming to a gentle stop at a light, the brakes suddenly grab hard for a split second like someone slammed them on then release immediately. It's really jerky and uncomfortable especially with passengers in the car. The truck is a 2021 Durango RT with about 48,000 kilometers on it and I'm the original owner so I know the service history well. I've never changed the pads yet so they're probably original and maybe just wearing unevenly or something. I've been looking for a good Dubai Dodge brake pad service garage  that can diagnose this properly because I don't think it's just normal wear, feels more like a caliper issue or maybe warped rotors. A colleague at work who drives a Charger recommended a place in Al Quoz that specializes in American cars but he couldn't remember the exact workshop name. Has anyone here experienced grabby brakes on their Durango or similar Dodge? Would love to know if a simple pad change fixed it or if I need to look at calipers and rotors as well. Also if you know a reliable honest garage around Al Quoz or maybe Umm Ramool that actually knows these vehicles please drop the name below, really want to get this sorted before it gets worse.
