INSURANCE: HELP!

Hi Everyone

I run www.eco-centricity.co.uk , an emerging online scrapstore in the new forest.

I am struggling to find Public Liability Insurance; Can you reccomend an insurance provider? Who do you use?

Unfortunately Im not sure we can use them, as we are not currently a registered charity; instead operating as a "more than profit" ethical business.

Does anyone have an Idea who would support that? I have asked tennysons and await reply, but am not hopeful as I know they are specialist charity insureres

Hi, we're not a charity, only a consistuted group at the moment currently changing over to CIC.

I personally dont plan to change my business status, and will continue to work as a "more than profit" ethical business, (Similar to how River Cottage work) but am hopeful on finding cover!

Hi Michelle,

One Insurance Broker you may want to try is Poole Martin in Bristol. Some Scrapstores in this area use them. Their details are 0117-927-6676. I also believe your status won't matter and they understand the scrapstore business.
